How we handle your information.

What we collect

Diagnostic answers. When you take the Advantage Diagnostic, we store your answers, your name, work email, organization and role, after you agree to it.

Free AI Core sign up. When you sign up to watch the Free AI Core, on the Free AI Core page or in the sign up box shown on other pages of this website, we collect your first and last name, email address, role or job function and age group. We also record when you signed up and how you reached us (for example a campaign link, a QR code in one of our videos, or the website itself).

Payments. Training, consulting and Solutions payments are taken by our payment provider on its own secure page. We receive confirmation that you paid, the amount and a payment reference. We do not receive or store your card details.

Messages and enquiries. Anything you send us through an enquiry form or by email.

Testimonials. If you share your experience, we keep your answers, the permissions you chose and, if you send one, your video.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We save a few small notes in your browser (local and session storage): whether you have signed up for the Free AI Core, so the videos stay unlocked on that device; whether you closed our Free AI Core bar or sign up box, so we do not keep showing it; and, for the current visit only, how you reached us and how many pages you have viewed. These notes contain no personal details, stay in your browser, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

How we use it

To prepare your Diagnostic result, deliver the training, consulting and Solutions you buy, send you messages about these, send Free AI Core access and follow up emails to people who signed up, reply to you, and improve our services using answers in combined form. We do not sell your information.

Some results and services may be prepared with the help of AI tools run by third party providers. We send them only what is needed for the task, and each provider handles it under its own terms.

Who processes it

The Diagnostic runs on servers we operate, with daily backups. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Emails are sent through an email delivery service. This website is hosted by Netlify. The Diagnostic and the enquiry pages are part of www.ohiocomputeracademy.com. Enquiry, testimonial and Free AI Core sign up form submissions go through Formspree, a form processing service. Mailing list emails are sent through our email and lead nurturing service. Testimonial videos are uploaded to Ohio Computer Academy's Microsoft OneDrive, and approved videos are published on our YouTube channel only with your permission. Page fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Videos on this website play through YouTube in its privacy enhanced mode; YouTube receives data from your browser only when you press play. Each provider handles data under its own terms.

Emails and unsubscribing

If you sign up for the Free AI Core, you join our mailing list. We send you access to the videos and occasional emails about using AI at work and about AI Advantage training, consulting and Solutions. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing info@ohiocomputeracademy.com. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Unsubscribing does not remove your access to videos you have already unlocked.

How long we keep it

Free AI Core sign up details are kept while you are on our mailing list. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a do not email list, so we never email you again by mistake. Diagnostic answers are deleted after 90 days, unless they become part of a client engagement, in which case they are kept for up to 2 years. Backups roll off after 14 days. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires for accounting. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Please do not send sensitive information

Do not submit confidential, personal, health, financial or other regulated information through this website or the Diagnostic. The Diagnostic does not need employee names or customer data.

Ask us to show, correct or delete your data by emailing info@ohiocomputeracademy.com.

Children

This website and our services are intended for organizations and are not directed at children under 13. The Free AI Core sign up and our mailing list are for adults aged 18 and over.

Changes

We will update this policy as our services change. Any changes are posted here with a new effective date.
